This is the best hoof biomechanics information as well as teaching tool for hoof trimming that I've ever seen in lay language. It is wonderful and Mr. Ramey does a great job of helping the average horse owner as well as veterinarians and farriers understand the principles in a helpful and encouraging way.
It is worth every penny.
All the common issues are addressed.
There are many sample cases that help display the principles.
I was mesmerized and watched it well into the night! Couldn't put it down!

This dvd series is of immense help for me as a novice, Pete Ramey speaks eloquently and gets straight to the point with comprehensive equine study and easy to understand instructions. My horses and their hooves are getting better so quickly that I will NEVER shoe them EVER again. I live in a very stoney and arid region of Australia and recommend this clinic to everyone regardless of experience or the environment in their part of the World as a valuable aid in the management of Hoof Health.

After reading all the available books, looking at all the YouTube videos about trimming, I found here for the first time the explanations/confirmations I wanted to hear. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience so clearly.

After 12 yrs of integrated horse life, we found it was time to investigate what all the adamant barefoot talk was about. Pete's books and DVDs come highly recommended so we felt it was necessary to include them in our research. It has solidified our decision to proceed this direction of allowing all of our horses to be barefoot. We know there is a learning curve, as with anything, but the book and DVDs we acquired from hoofrehab store are answering every question we stable upon. Looking forward to more learning, and then sharing with our horse friends!

Very clear and useful tool for those that started trimming by their own their horses ( like us ), and for the ones that want to refine and understand more about this innovative ' possibility' for the horses. We live in italy and the situation here is very retarded compared to america, We had some experiences with professional trimmers but the result were very unsatisfying, and now I know why....Now we feel less alone in this path toward a more natural life for our horses and donkey. Moreover I found fantastic the passion and the love for the wellbeing of the horses, that we could 'breathe' during the all series. Thank you so much Pete and kind wife for the road you showed us!!!

My husband and I so appreciate Pete and Ivy caring enough to produce this important information in the DVD format. The videos have made the written material in Pete's books come alive for us both. We have practiced natural hoof care successfully for years (riding barefoot high and far in the Rockies), but never had to deal with laminitis until our mule feasted for weeks (unknown to us) on crabapple tree bark! When she was "suddenly" lame, we were lost about how to address it. Because of this valuable resource, we understand not only the "what" but the "why"! This has only made us better in our trimming and general hoof care. She is still working on growing a well connected hoof to the ground, but is back on the trail again with us. She never needed boots before, but her 0000 boots are her friends now... Thank you with all our hearts.

This series is very well done and documented. To be completed with the book and alternative sources of information to have a more neutral idea, yet this set of DVDs is a must have for anyone who wants to understand the hooves and to start trimming.
Only problem is the quality of some videos, HD fixed cameras could help... but that's not a big deal.

The value of the information in this series far outweighs the cost. I have 3 horses, 2 are barefoot, 1 is shod. The information presented in this series applies to all of them. The dvds are well organized, the information is presented in a very clear way, with excellent diagrams, photos, models of the hoof, etc. I find them quite interesting to watch, Pete is an excellent instructor and makes each subject interesting. These are not dull boring lessons!
He is thorough in his presentation, and I am confident that with hands on instruction from one of his clinics and a trimming "mentor" to check in on me at my farm, I will be able to trim my two barefoot horses myself and have a thorough understanding of what needs to be done!
If you have a horse with a "mystery" lameness, as I do, and when you have spent thousands with every vet finding "nothing wrong", I highly recommend that you take a look at this dvd series, and then study the hoof and sole of your horse. With the information in this series you can ask questions of your farrier and not have to just take their word that they are doing everything correctly. You will know!

I've only watched two DVD's and am very impressed with the graphic details. I would recommend this to any horse owner.

This information is vital for every horse owner. All of us have horses that will benefit from this knowledge. I have applied this knowledge to my horses and have already seen tremendous improvement in my horses hooves.
